Windows xp, service pack 2.
I had photoshop installed and activated, went to bed and work, came back and photoshop was gone. (as was imageready). Poof, no evidence on the computer.
My wife and daughter swear they didn't do anything weird like uninstalling any programs.
Anyone heard of photoshop just randomly uninstalling itself? It's not that big of a deal, except I had made some new actions to use when batch processing pictures, and hadn't gotten around to saving them yet.
Valid software never uninstalls itselfs. Might be a virus involved or spyware...

authorized software for work? what i mean is, did you bring your personal copy to work to load there too?
sometimes, overzelous PC support people have been known to delete "unauthorized software" on company PCs.
nevermind. :) just reread your post you WENT to work. this is your home pc.
I agree with Dansko. It definately didn't delete itself!
using system restore or goback or some other hard disk restore utility might remove the sw.
scan for viruses and adware then reinstall.

look in the application event log for MsInstaller entries - if an Photoshop was removed it will show up there. If you use separate logins you'll even get to see who did it.
Also look at the app and system logs for the time period in question for any other problems that might have occurred.
