VG
hi - I am fairly new to web design and I wondered could anyone point me to
the beginners place,
we all have to start somewhere .... I have been using Claris homepage 3.0 to
design web pages
but everyone seems to use dreamweaver these days - so do I get the latest
version with bells on or
will I manage to learn enough on older versions of dreamweaver ( I might be
able to get a
second hand version cheaper.) Also - can anyone recommend a .... help
book - I find it easier
to read a 'real book' rather than a screen.
Thanks in anticipation for all tips and help

cheers, Val

Do yourself a huge favor and find an old version of Homesite+ or Cold Fusion
Studio and learn HTML and CSS...

Dreamweaver is a the best of the WYSIWYG (really, nothing is true wysiwyg)
editors, but it's much faster, better and productive to just write out the
code you need by hand.

You won't be sorry.
