Is there an easy way to do a web based email subscription list? What I
would like is a web form where you can either subscribe or unsubscribe,
and also a link at the bottom of all list emails that allows you to
unsubscribe.

And I would like all of this to be on my own site, not hosted some
where else.

Any one know how?

If you need to run it on your own server, Dada Mail is probably the
simplest one (on the user side). It requires CGI scripting with at
least Perl 5.005 and any *NIX variant (Linux, UNIX, BSD, etc.)

If you don't want to run it on your own server, or isn't allowed to run
CGI scripts in your webspace, you can use a third party mailing list
provider. For example, Bravenet has such a tool:

There are many websites with premade scripts.

Let's try for example http://www.hotscripts.com or try to find in google

Most mailing list software comes with web interfaces already, I'm rather
fond of MailMan.

Try either Mailman or Qmail.

Hello again Douglas. You might like to consider putting your name in
your From: header, not your web address.

Some people consider it as a bit spammy.

Another vote for DadaMail -- me!

I found it easy to use.
