Something's weird with one of my sites. I'm updating the source HTML, but the
changes aren't reflected when I to to the site via IE.

First thing that comes to mind is that I've got my DNS record pointing to an old
server. I know the address (12.164.25.4), but can't figure out how to verify
the server name. Tried "WhoIs 12.164.25.4" on a DOS command line, but no
luck.

That's one of our IPs. It is assigned to one of our colocation customers.

If you type that IP in your web browser, it looks like they have a
placeholder page there..which actually has the servername on it. ;-)

JavaScript apparently required at:

Looks like one of the AffordableHost servers. There's another thread
about possibly these servers are being renamed and moved. Maybe you're
updating the old one?

You did do a Refresh or Reload didn't you?

That's not the problem.

My opinion, since I have no knowledge of what exactly that particular host
is doing these days, would be that the host moved his account to a different
server and didn't update DNS properly.

That's not the problem. Even though the DNS was updated and the site is
still accessible on the new server, that doesn't take care of FTP
programs like CuteFTP where you have to physically change the profile
from , in his case, Kalyke to Clark. If you don't make the change in
your FTP program, you still upload to the old server which stays on line
for a week or two.

Yes, I stand corrected. I was thinking the problem was that his domain was
directing to that IP.

Bingo! Thanks. The resulting nastygram has the old server name on it.
