A sad day today, we see the end of our ancient and envied justice
system which has as its heart the principle of

"innocent until proven guilty"

Today, with the conviction without trial of murder by three named dead
men for the London bombings we see the end of British justice and the
start of a new form of despotism.

1984 draws closer.

I haven't seen any evidence that police or media are referring to them
as anything other than suspects and I just went looking again.

Since when do they put dead men on trial in order to secure a conviction
just so they can be named as suicide bombers?

BBC Radio 4 was reporting them "as the bombers", I think that's pretty
unambiguous!

I don't tkink it's right to slander the dead either. They could be
(and until proven otherwise are) three more victims. It seems to suit
our political system to decide these three victims were suicide
bombers.

Yeah bet if you was around you would have been mad when they said Hitler was
mass killing Jews.
You even support the child murderers in Iraq. Guess them blowing up KIDS
doesnt make them guilty?

12 good men and true!
It didn't start today - it started with the throwing away of the whole Magna
Carta - blueprint for all civilised DEMOCRACIES and still the Basic Law of
the DEMOCRATIC countries in the world.

Why? Because it allowed an Englishman (Norman?) to carry a sword, and while
it existed there could be no limit on the length of a knife blade, thus no
control on the sale of knives to ASBO carrying youths. Another knee jerk
reaction just like the banning of sporting hand guns, which certainly didn't
stop the increase in fire arms related offences.

Polaroid guilt is here too - has your car, or a "dodgy" one carrying your
registration mark, been done on a Gatzo? If you own the car you are guilty
of speeding, even if you are 10,000 miles away with a geisha girl, the onus
is on YOU to prove you were not driving.

Oh I nearly forgot, if you are in hospital because you spend too much time
with the same geisha girl (I admire your stamina) and your Road Fund Licence
expires you have to pay a 1000 fine. That despite the fact that the car is
locked away in your garage. Of course DVLC don't send your SOR form to Mount
Fuji Convalescent home so you can't complete the form and return. As a
result you are guilty of driving it on the road when it is not taxed.

None of us like trial-by-media ...but most of us hate even more the move
toward a banana republic legal system!

OOPS! Trial by media? That reminds me of Mr Straw's attempts to take away
the right, (from Magna Carta days of course), to trial-by-jury on the
grounds that it would "speed up justice"(?)

............................. quaint new world ain't it?
