Okay - know i can declare a variable when embeding a flash file in a web page. I know that i can add a dynamic text fiedl that is set to display a varible of that said name into a flash movie. So why is my flash movie not showing the vaible. It's listed in the html code, but now joy in displaying anything. what steps am i missing???

I've the same problem. If you have the answer, can you help me.

Well, that's just it: what code?:) I guess the question should be, what, beyond setting up a dynamic text field with an instance name and var set to, say, "fred", do i need to do in flash to have a varible assigned in the embeding url as "example.swf?fred=wilma"?

PHP i get. Flash varibles and actionscript, i am a moron, i freely admit.:)
