hi Nic

there is no standard honestly , it's all based on your preference and project needs.
Personally , try not to make them too big, they might become CPU intensive.

So could you give me a round-about figure, just so I know where abouts to
start mucking around with?

Cheers,

-Nic.

I work usually in 1024 - 768 so the actual window size of IE will
be 1004 x 581 , I would do my flash in half of that size .
I also like panoramic , which will me about 400 high by 900....
But , really it depends on what you try to do .
Check http://www.moluv.com/
Under the SEARCH you find list of sites recently added , usually very nice
flash work . See how they choose size based on type of content .

According to a survey I saw recently, 49% of web surfers use an 800x600
display size or smaller. 51% use a display of 1024x768 or higher. I think
to avoid having too many people using scrollbars to view your website, you
should use 800x600 (or smaller).
