Hi,

I'm facing this problem which is driving me crazy. Hope somebody here can
help me.

I have 2 ComboBox components. Now, if I select an item inside the 1st combo
box, then click somewhere else on the web page but OUTSIDE the flash movie
region, after that click on the 2nd combo box. What happens now is that both
Combo boxes are selected. If I press the Up and Down keys, both of them are
scrolled.

I don't want that. How can I make it such that after I click on the 2nd
combo box, the first combo box automatically lose focus ?

Btw, this problem happens in both Flash MX and Flash MX 2004.

Thanks in advance.

first of all - if you click outside your flashmovie region (i suppose that all runs in a html page?)
your whole movie loses the focus. that can be a problem.

but you can define a changeHandler function that solves the problem.
see the as reference for more info.

hope this helps

In fact, I defined changeHandler functions for both combo boxes to do
something else.
So, what else need to be done in the changeHandler function to make the
other combo box lose focus ?

I think this is a bug. Somebody from MM please look at this and fix it in
the next version.
thanks.
