hello,

i wanna make a flash movie that consists of several layered .swf's.
in the movie i wanna use an embedded font. how can i make sure
i only have to use the font once and not embed them in each movie
separately? i tried to use the text in the movie at level0 with input
or dynamic text with the option "embed font outlines for all characters",
link them in the library, and import them in the other movies, but as
soon as i create any static text in any other movie, the other movie
embeds the font separately. how should i do it right?

mik

As embedding a complete fontset can add 20 to 30K to your movie you can use fontsymbols as a shared library but it doesn't work with dynamic text :( You can reuse a textField-symbol though (movieClip or swf with textField) and alter it's properties with textFormats. Or use the createTextField function. Or put all text in one movie which might get rather complicated.
