I still haven't found any reason to move to Dreamweaver from Homesite+.

Has anyone made this switch and preferred Dreamweaver over HomeSite?

If so can you mention any features that Dreamweaver has (other than the
WYSIWYG) you prefer?

Thanks

While I haven't worked much with homesite, I have worked with other
editors (freeware, admittedly). I think it's a general preference for
how you like to set up your site. I like the fact that I can pull into
Dreamweaver from Flash and Fireworks, and edit pix etc. as I go.

Personally, I do prefer WYSIWYG software and then tweak the code
afterwards. I'm not sure if Macromedia offers a Dreamweaver trial, but
if they do, check it out. The software is awfully expensive to be
buying it and to find out you don't like it.

Actually, my company buys me the latest version of the Macromedia Suite when

ever it comes out... so I have had DW installed for some time, but in poking
around with it, I haven't found any features that would entice me to use it.

It's the only part of the suite that I haven't found a use for... since I
don't use wizards or WYSIWYG, I was hoping some DW guru could fill me in on
something it's good for.

Homesite is text based BS, not wysiwyg
Better is Free wysiwyg:

Although I've never used it, Homesite has WYSIWYG capabilities, my question
was meant to see if any one was using Dreamweaver for coding, in addition
to, or in place of, the WYSIWYG feature.

I understand that many WYSIWYG editors write much better code than they used
to, But IMHO, if all you know about Web Development is how to run a
WYSIWYG, than you are limiting yourself...

Homesite is far superior to DW....
