Mezza, Mezza... you've given up already with your clothing business? You're
giving in too easily... you need to stick with it! A year and a half ago I
didn't know what bandwidth was but now I'm running my own hosting business
with a dedicated server and plenty of satisfied customers... you just need
the patience to learn and keep trying :) My other source of income is my
design business... and I'm self-taught for that too. You'll get there, just
keep trying!

Reading helps. Web is getting more complex, it is turning to a big
virtual computer, web technologies are getting more and more sophisticated.

I spend lots of hours reading everyday, at the end it all adds up to how
much you know, and how much skill you have acquired to take care of a
client's needs.

Hi Matt,

I have 'halted to rethink' actually. I still am holding to the
FashionMuslim domain coz I am trying to restrategize the business.
The idea actually was mooted by a friend who asked me to try.

Now, I am trying to find, within myself, what I WANT TO DO actually.

So far what I know about myself is:

1) I love going to the movies and made it my whole life watching as much
as possible. That and plus TV.

2) Used to write movie reviews to the local newspapers every week. I
still enjoy writing it if I am not too busy with work.

3) I love creative design work. BUt I know that I cannot create good
illustrations, I can't even draw to save my life. But I am trained in
book layout design, putting together a magazine, oversee pre and post
productions.

4) I am dabbling in editing home movies and so far, I like what I see,
what with technologies can do these days with a PowerMac G4, a camcorder
and a DVD burner.

5) I love music.

6) I hate going out to sell. I am always nervous when meeting new people
and worse trying to present a sale pitch to a potential client. I just
got jammed up.

7) I am in my 30s :), am not married and I feel so compelled to settle
down soon. I am feeling panicky somewhat watching my friends around me
getting married and having lotds of wonderful kids.

8) I STILL BELIEVE in web. I still wanna have my own unique site
possibly with e-commerce elements that is lucrative for my survival and
am able to manage it well.

That's it so far.

Sorry if my list is a pain, but whadayya reckon?

Thanks

Mezza

Thanks Helen. . .

You are right, one of my problems is inconfidence.
I do have a low self esteem and I know it is very bad!

Someone did told me that I have just got to break that barrier of
inconfidence and I will be able to do it.

I am now working on this problem...

Hi Matt,

Got called in by the boss on Wednesday evening. He discussed about
having to lay offs staffs and as I am not performing sales wise, he
is questioning me of my capabilities, my interest in the Mobile
Application Service business (eg text messaging, telephony premium rate
line services). I have made my decision that I will leave, but will for
sometime be on a freelance basis for the company. . .
.. . . after giving it much thought, it would be just prolonging the
situation. . .

So now I am clearing work or handing over to people.

The future. . . .???

Take a week's holiday, not somewhere hot, but somewhere remote (for me it'd
be Scottish highlands) and have a think about your life and what you wanna

You're quite determined already it seems, you just need to believe that you

One of the things that strikes me from the current situation

Is this a good idea? Why or why not?

I know a lot of these guys (like the recent Blackwater guys who were
killed and
mutilated) are ex-Vets, but I'm curious as to what they were armed
(I'm assuming
they were armed) with and what they were supposed to do when the shite
hit the

can get on the pipe and call for more cops to help them out - who do
these guys

You don't read very well, do you. I have had at least a 1000 silly people

1. You tried to post your commercial service spam through Supernews
service.

"Mike" of ArtistMike.com paid for that ability.

So sue them and stop whining.

I think "Mike" enjoys the fun that can be had in a newsgroup instead.

2. You make posts substansively the same ...

That is not true.

Changing one word does not change the post for
purposes of BI.

I don't care.

So you do not care you are a spammer? Thanks for the admission.

Who cares. You are a spammer and no one gives spammers business. So
how is this helping your business? Whining is a real attraction for
customers. You do realize this is being cross posted to groups that
google archives? Wow good idea, get this into google where potential
customers can find out you are a whiny little fruit cake. Sure glad I
am not stupid enough to run my businees like that.

Oh and [Email Removed] of ArtistMike.com. Just for googles sake,
eh Mikey?

So Mikey, how is this helping your business? You being a
self-important business man? You think acting like a little 10 year
old who does not get his way will help your business?

Ain't this a bitch Mike, another google post....

Hope it come up number 1 for you.
This might help.

I do not care what your opinion is concerning what is "spamming" and what is
not.

Once again, your opinion is irrelevant.

Once again, your opinion is irrelevant.

And yet here you are responding again. Say it enough times and maybe

I win because I say so.
You dance because I say so.
Your opinion is irrelevent.

Now what would make you think I post for any other reason than I get
to make fun of a known spammer. You give yourself way to much credit.

So tell me again, how does this all help artistmike with the problem
that he is considered a spammer? Ever hear of Pyrrus?

All he has to do
is remove his domain name from his posts and I'm sure
he won't be blocked, but being a spammer, he's too dense
to concede that point.

Since when has posting a domain name constituted spam?

Since Supernews made up the rule so they could block "ArtistMike.com" from
posting through their service. A service that "ArtistMike" paid to use, I
might add.  "Mike" posted too many messages... not spam... just too many
messages, so they made up the rule to attempt to justify their "filtering"
of his posts.  Plus they attempted to use forgeries as justification for
their filtering.  Messages that were forged by other people in an attempt to
make "ArtistMike" look more bad than he really was, were used as
justification for their censoring.

So be careful that you don't post too many messages... your messages could
be filtered also.

Or they thought mike was just being an ass on usenet for too long.

I feel sorry for the guy though. Having to take care of Janet and all
her drooling.
