looks good,

why is the first "more details" button with a larger stroke than the others
?

How do i get back to the homepage from other pages ? no link

Quote section : slight error on the vertical alignment of your white
section.

Font size is not coherent in my view, on homepage, the text on the left is
bigger than the one on the right,
and it strikes me, not on the fact of making it more visible, but as a
mistake. Moreover, why not use the same
color for the Visited Link and the text ? or so maybe something similar.
On my screen your full name, email adress ... form is in red, and it's
difficult to really know if it's red, dark brown, or black dut to the
closeness of the menubar.

For the rest i feel that it's very effective, and it's a simple and very
sober design, good luck with your business.

You know, in all the years I've been posting here (and in the photoshop

The way I see it is, if you are trying to get someone to buy your
service by posting here it is spam, but if you put your url in your
sig that is not bad because, well suppose I get contacted my a person
in Maryland and they don't realize I am in Florida, they really want
someone local, being the straight up person I am, I will try to
recommend Carol, because she is in the potential clients area. How
could I recommend another designer if I had never seen their site or
their work? I enjoy looking at everyones sites and if they are in
their sig than I can find them.

I think that these are just some guys with a garage band and want a
web site. So they are trying to suck someone into doing one for free
because they can't afford to pay.

If this is the case, then they should be honest about it and perhaps
someone will do some charity work for them.

But the only charities I will work for are ones where the money they
raise will go to a good cause. ie: Heart and Stroke Foundation

for a company that with LARGE and SMALL record companies, you think
they could find $500 to help one of their ARTISTS that require GOOD
web sites.

I am struggling myself right now, but I will not work for a commercial
business for free, unless it was a work term or family member

Not sure if this is the right board but here goes anyway...

We are a independent music production company (UK) we work for record
companies large and small.

We have our own artists that require good websites (urgently) and we are
looking for designers that could use this hi profile possibility as part
of
their portfolio - as large budgets are not possible.

I know perhaps its cheeky but maybe we could do something for you..?

Anyone interested please drop me a line perhaps with some links to sites
you
have done..

Thats a rather silly statement... I'm sure there are alot of people who
drink and drive that havent crashed... is that okay for them to do that,
because you know... something *may not* happen...

Driving drunk puts other people at risk of serious injury or death.
between
two people or even children puts no one else at risk of injury and
certainly
not of death. Not a good comparison.

Would you feel better if condoms or other forms of birth control was used?

Condoms first are NOT birth control. They are not recognized by the FDA as
a controaceptive because of the high in-use failure rate, about 27%.
Second, condoms do not prevent sexually transmitted diseases, it only
*reduces* the chance of STD's, and there are several STD's that condoms give
zero protection from. In addition, condoms give no protection from
emotional damage. How will a condom protect against the followint additonal
symptoms of child sexual assault?

a.. Disclosure by child (very rare).
b.. Excessive masturbation.
c.. Sexual acting out with other children.
d.. Bedwetting and soiling (after potty training).
e.. Nightmares.
f.. Abrupt change in behavior, uncharacteristic anger, isolation or
withdrawal.
g.. Age-inappropriate knowledge of .
h.. Constantly talks about .
i.. Constant vaginal discharge.
j.. Physical evidence (very rare).
k.. Difficulty walking or sitting.
l.. Sleeps too much or too little.
m.. Depression, crying over insignificant matters.
n.. Fear of bathroom.
o.. Fear of a certain person.
p.. Excessive crying.
q.. Exhibiting violent behavior.
r.. Wearing many layers of clothing.
s.. Bleeding in vagina or anus.
This is only a partial list from www.againstsexualabuse.org. Missing are
such things as suicide, Multiple Personality Disorder, inability to develop
relationships, and the list goes on and on. What good is your pathetic
little piece of latex going to do about these problems?

appreciate knowing that this record company is willing to spend exactly
$0
to promote them online.

if you're full-on, and you company doesnt want to spend much money on a new

basically, get yourself  mid to high-end pentium 4 (about 2.4GHz), or maybe
AMD athlon 2600+
1GB of ddr-333 ram
one 60gb 7200rpm hard drive (as your primary) and another, say 40gb as your
scratch disk.
decent video card such as a geforce ti 4400 (which is cheap but sufficient
compared to the newest models)

ive prited out all the posts here and highlighted bit and pieces and
passed it onto the operations manager here to look over... fingers

IMO, you have software, not hardware issues. Your HD might be a little
small, but you have enough RAM and processor-thingo for what you're
doing, unless you're dealing with huge PS files. Are you pushing
around 250 meg PS files, or something, or are they in a pretty
reasonable range, like 80-100 meg? If so, you have more than enough
machine.

no, rarely would my ps files exceed 100 meg. well... definitely never
over 200.

i know what youre saying, yes i do have a lot of crap on my machine.
trial downloads of things and stuff. not good huh?

QUOTE
I would try to start
with a clean, formatted HD with just your vital programs on it, and no
other crap. No little fun downloads, no cute shareware, as few MS
products as possible, no automatic virus stuff running in the
background. I wouldn't ever open an email attachment that wasn't a
100% legitimate file for work, and I wouldn't even say the word
"Kazzaa" (or however it's spelled) much less download anything there.

yup. understood. all sorts of shit keeps coming down in my email. and
lately all its been is viagra and penis englargement emails and i dont
know how to block them. not do i know why i would be getting them
either.

Guessing the age of your machine from the Pentium® III
processor-thingo (I just love that) you're running either Win 98 or
ME. 98 was bad, ME was a crime against nature. If you're running
either of these, you'd notice a huge change switching to XP. Unless
you're doing really heavy duty network stuff, XP Home Edition will
work great, regardless of the name.

im on win 98.

I learned all this stuff the hard way, and finally have a Windows
machine that is so reliable and fast it astounds me. I'm always amazed
when friends and family have all these terrible computer problems,
assuming they need a new machine, that turn out to be 100% software
related.

yes, someone else has suggested that to me also.

thanks very much for all this. its been printed out and passed onto

They don't have the intelligence to come up with something
believeable....that's why they've decided to become "promoters". It's one
step up from the guy who tries to hand you fliers when you leave a
nightclub....the "promoter" is the guy who hired him to stand there all
night long with those freakin fliers on the promise of a free ticket to a
concert. Yeah right.
