I don't understand how Supernews can let such a spammer go unchecked and

I guess the cost would depend on the size of the ISP that they were
outsourcing to. Say a small local ISP in a 100,000 population city...with
many ISP's in town... I wonder what that would cost.

Maybe it depends on the number of subscribers that the ISP has. Maybe they
give price breaks for large ISPs and not so good a price for smaller ISPs.

Or does it run the other direction? Maybe the more subscribers the ISP has
the more it costs to get a news subscriber? Larger ISPs eat up more of the
resources of the news provider.

Now, now, Mike, let's not make fun.

Actually, Paint Shop Pro 7 did pretty well:
http://community.webshots.com/photo/38859810/118879751QdfdDW

However, ever since Jasc hired Kris, their software has gone to pot. I
have read enough people claim they won't be upgrading to Paint Shop Pro
8, because it's very difficult to learn, offers little new features and
no one likes the out of the box interface. And, what a deal you get, a 5
year old version of Animation Shop, included.

The bad part is, the ISP (reseller) can limit access, limit throughput,
limit connections and even provide additional filtering. So, as you can
see, why and how ISPs offer the lower prices. With an ISP usenet
reseller, you're getting secondhand usenet news.

It depends on the burden the ISP places on the NSP. The greater the
burden, the higher the cost. I'm certain deals are made where, if you,
the ISP, lessens the burden on the NSP, the NSP will drop their prices.
Typically business deals, nothing new.

One last word. I do not believe Easynews outsources their service. This

Jeremy, unlike you and Rebecca I don't just say people
are liars, but I can think they don't understand
something or each other, or don't explain things well.
So, what you write above is a contradiction to me.

Okay, then, one more time.  There are two "blocks" that
have been discussed here over and over and over and over.
The first was a block intended to stop the spam, keying
on the URL in the posts; the second was a total block on
posts coming from Mike's account.

And I'm done.

Someone should be able to check what happened here? I
still have that question if we can get blocked for a
commercial url until this is clear.

I find it unfathomable that you could still have this
question, after it being explicitly stated repeatedly
that there is no policy against such things, period, and
there never has been.

You sound pissed off Jeremy. I would be too if I had ran my
mouth and been caught in giving something away.

"Original block". Not "filter", not "I don't know if Mike is
blocked" or even "speaks for itself but you don't see me say
it's from Mike".

I think Americans say "busted" at this point. I will do that
instead of calling you a LIAR like you have me at least
three times.

NEVER underestimate what seems a clueless newbie, a moron,
or a sock puppet.

huh?

Artist Mike said he was blocked

There's no way for anyone but Artist Mike to know if he's blocked or not.
If he says he's blocked, I'll believe him.

I'll have a look to see why he might be blocked. Have a look at this
URL...

<URL:http://groups.google.co.uk/groups?q=+%22hire+an+artist
%22+author:mike%40artistmike.com&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8>

.... which clearly shows that Artist Mkie made very many posts with
nothing but the words "Hire an artist to do it for you" plus his
commercial sig.

So, I think that's good enough for a user to be tossed, and I know that
even Altopia would have TOSsed him for that. So far I have no reason to
think that Artist Mike isn't blocked, that's what he says after all.

Turns out that maybe *he* isn't blocked, but his spammy URl is filtered,
and that Artist Mike is either too fucking dumb to know the difference,
or not interested and just wants to spread FUD.

Now we've got that cleared up, let's talk about the forgeries. Artist
Mike says he wans't spamming and he wwasn't trolling and a whole bunch of
posts were made with his URL in and those forgeries are why he was
blocked.

If someone posts a forgery their account is blocked. Not the account
that was forged. This has been stated many times. What don't you
understand about this?

So, if Artist Mike got blocked it is because Artist Mike posted
something.

If Bob(a made up name) posted a bunch of forgeries, Bob would be blocked,
not Artist Mike.

This is easy to understand. Your continued vociferous defence of a long
running Usenet spammer *stinks*.

Artist Mike is clearly a spamming trolling nymshift lying fuckwit.
AFAIAC SN can do what they like to Artist Mike. If you don't like it
don't use SN and try to persuade your ISP to not use SN. (Be careful
what you wish for, the Demon.uk newsserver is known for being bad.)

And the spammer is who exactly?

I believe the answer to that question is ArtistMike. ArtistMike is a
spamming luzer fuckwit who has been filtered and then blocked by
Supernews (way to go Supernews). But then simple google of ArtistMike
provides a plethora of examples of the spammer tactics used by
ArtistMike.

If you think that I've given something away, or lost something, or anything

You need people "of consequence" to back you up against an
ordinary poster with a question? Very funny, considering the
quality of the posts of those you surround yourself with in
this group and who "agree" with you.

Yes I had already dropped it yesterday for the time being so

doing his "what's wrong with that?" when someone's infant was targetted
and their presumed home address posted etc.

Post your evidence, crybaby.

I have no need to post anything in response to your "challenges";  you
already provide enough "evidence" with your callousness, your insistent
stupidity, your perverted sexuality, and your inability to relate to any
adult (most especially women;  there's not a single woman you get along
with, it's clear.)  It's quite clear why you "like" children:  you feel
dwarfed and incompetent in the company of adults, but perhaps hope that
minds that have not fully developed yet will be easier targets for you to
convince yourself that you have some superiority over them.

Unlike the situation with Supernews, you're not a customer of mine, so I
have no compulsion to respond to your stupid games at all, unless it
pleases me to do so just to let you feel the pressure rise and to see you
resort to the most infantile name-calling because apparently there isn't a
creative bone in your body that can come up with anything original or even
meaningful.

It's absolutely amazing that even with a few years under your belt
attempting to troll various groups, you've not yet been able to rise above
the "MacDonalds" sort of lame even once.  And it's clear that it really
TERRIFIES you to have to deal with any woman of intelligence, to the point
that you babble and spout and spurt inanities, finally resorting to the
infantile tactic of post-editing because you really cannot find words to
say anything meaningful, can't even devise an interesting insult no matter
how hard you try.

What REALLY pleases me, though, is that you've provided such ample
evidence, and you continue to provide it, as the noose tightens.  It's
just delightful to hear someone who fantasizes -- publicly! (albeit
apparently with the silly notion that "nobody" is really watching what you
say in newsgroups) -- about preying on children, cooperate so thoroughly
in bringing about the eventual consequences that will result from your
perversions.

Perhaps you're operating under the delusion that nobody will care if the
pictures you collect and post are not *explicitly* erotic;  perhaps you
think that you can fool everyone as you once fooled BarB that way.

IAC, it's not your party, no matter how loudly you want to insist that you
are the one setting the house rules.

And as the 'Tard sinks slowly into the sunrise, thus ends another day
of its obsession with the Olsen twins. I am guessing that obsession is
waning now that they are no longer prepubescent.

It seems a more than a little wound up trying to refute you there DE,
resorting to its lame frogging again. Wonder why that is? Wonder why
the 'Tard is so afraid to frog anyone with its Supernews account?
Probably because it is afraid to lose ANOTHER Supernews account. Hee
Hee.

John Henry forwarded your UniCoward=ArtistMike the Spammer message
into sn.general for all of them to laugh at also. Yesterday was a
really bad day for the 'Tard. Everyday for people who deal in "Pretty
Little Girl Pictures" should be rough.

I guess that explains a lot about its reactions to the UFFs posts
about Mike Horwath. Wonder how the UFF feels about the 'Tard now, you
think they appreciate its support of them? They seem to take a very
dim view of people who traffic in material about children. I guess
only time will tell.

Now let's have some LAME post edits 'Tard or maybe some LAME snip and
run? Why not a whole new bunch of frogs based on people who slap you
around in the paint shop pro group. Just about everyone of its LAME
nym shifts are frogs of people who beat it mercilessly in
news:alt.binaries.paint-shop-pro. Wonder if they appreciate their nyms
being used to disrupt other newsgroups. Just in case they did not know
what UniTard/ArtistMike were doing with their nyms, all the following
nyms have been used by UniTard/ArtistMike for disruption of other
newsgroups:

Uni

CarolJ
Combaticus
Alway Correct
BLUEMIST

Cris Zalika
Jackie Laderout

Continued applause DE for your fine sleuth job. You have the 'Tard
spinning in circles. I see serious kooking on its horizon as it tries
to perform damage control. I also see mass quanities of post edited
sock and frog screed.

Mark, sounds like your client is trying to get around buying a call list,
but I think he would end up losing time and money taking this route. Seems
to me he'd end up with tons of pure junk data; and completely unqualified
at that; and his telesales person would spend hours on bad information and
calling people who have absolutely no interest, unless he has something that
every man, woman and child can use and afford.

He's probably better off finding a reputable list seller.
